Checkmate Revealed

The painting is now complete. This photo is slightly dark in the background, and is actually a dark green. The painting will now dry, then varnished, and will be scanned for limited edition prints to be made.

I've finished the addition of animals which will be in the painting. Now I will be going back and putting in all the details on them and the painting overall.

"As you can see I am attempting the first approach of the tree, impalas jumping, zebra and cheetah. After the drying process I will come back again and finish with more detail. Everything you see so far in the painting will be readdressed more than one time in order to have a realistic look. I am planning to emphasize in the lower chess board more endangered species.
